Description

The Bruyère House has been a family affair for over 50 years. Or more precisely since 1964, when Roger Bruyère founded the Sudbiscuits biscuit and cake factory in the Tarn. At the time a baker, he made regional sweet biscuits such as Occitan croquants, but also madeleines, cakes, fouaces, etc. His fame grew quickly and so did the company. But she did not lose her good habits of working as a craftsman, with healthy ingredients and an emphasis on taste. When his son Christian took over the company in 1984, he focused on dry biscuits only, and the company became a full-fledged biscuit factory! In a spirit of authenticity, he revived well-known regional specialities: oreillettes, chalumeaux and navette d’Albi, or bricelets. Their version of the famous croquant de Cordes-sur-Ciel arrived in the early 1990s, and the secret of its production led to an unparalleled boom for the company, while remaining a well-kept secret! When Christian left in 2009, his daughters decided to pay tribute to the family heritage and named the company “Maison Bruyère”. The men and women who work there today make the traditional biscuit-making know-how shine internationally, with an unwavering commitment to the quality of the products and to natural ingredients.
